These concepts inspire the philosophy of Back to Nature, a US brand specializing in better-for-you snacks, which has been part of our Group since December 2022 and with which we share the commitment to offering people not only food, but also the joy that good food, well-made with carefully selected ingredients from responsible supply chains, can bring.

FLAVOR, NATURE AND WELL-BEING. TOGETHER
Back to Nature was established at a small California health food store in 1960. Starting with granola, it attracted the attention of a growing number of “healthy food” enthusiasts.
Over time the business grew, creating and marketing other equally delicious and wholesome granolas, crackers, cookies, nuts and trail mixes.
But while the business has grown, Back to Nature's mission to give people tasty food, made with nature-inspired recipes and carefully selected ingredients, has never changed.

Furthermore, since January 2015, all the over 30 products made by Back to Nature are plant-based and Non-GMO project verified.
Well aware of the importance of taking care of the earth, for the last ten years Back to Nature has been a proud partner of The Nature Conservancy, a non-profit organization that works to protect nature around the world. As part of thePlant A Billion Treesprogram, our US brand has helped plant more than 260,000 trees to help combat deforestation. Trees are important for the health of the planet, as they provide oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide and help prevent soil erosion: by planting trees, Back to Nature aims to improve air and water quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect natural ecosystems.

AIMING TO GROW IN THE US BAKERY MARKET
Our Group's acquisition of Back to Nature in 2022 is an important stage in our plan to grow in the dynamic North American bakery market, where we are already a leader in the crispbread category with the Wasa brand.

Back to Nature is headed by Jennifer Jorgensen, an appointment that also demonstrates our Group’s commitment to promoting the role of women in every aspect of business life.
“I feel very lucky to be able to make an impact. – said Jennifer on her appointment as the brand’s CEO - When I started working in the early '90s, there were very few female role models for me, but I was lucky enough to be able to learn from some special people along the way. I commit to doing my part – continues Jorgensen – to lend a hand and continue to support women and diversity, so that we can all shine brighter”.
