In this direction, we have:

  • Launched LEGUME PASTA: 4 new gluten-free products, rich in fibre and proteins.
  • REFORMULATED 21 EXISTING RECIPES of sauces and pesto to reduce the amount of salt, sugar, fat and saturated fat, and launched 3 NEW SAUCES no added sugar: grape tomato sauce, grape tomato and oregano sauce and BIO sauce.
  • Shared the STORY OF THE KEY INGREDIENTS of our products in Italy through four journeys with a special ambassador: the Michelin star-chef Davide Oldani.

In this direction, we have:

  • REFORMULATED 7 EXISTING RECIPES in terms of sugar and fiber content and launched 4 NEW PRODUCTS with a better nutritional profile: the classic whole wheat piadelle and a Mulino Verde biscuit.
  • Developed the CARTA DEL MULINO, a charter for the sustainable cultivation of common wheat, and launched the first 100% BUONGRANO sustainable flour product in 2019.
  • Introduced the PER DARTI IL MEGLIO [TO GIVE YOU THE BEST] platform for people to learn about the goodness of our products. The platform features various sections on nutrition, the ingredients used, animal welfare and the supply chain.

A DREAMY COCOA

Pan di Stelle is committed to guaranteeing that all its products contain “cacao da sogno” [dreamy cocoa]. It buys the cocoa in Ivory Coast from Barry Callebaut and has always been committed to improving the sustainability and quality of life of its farmers. In particular, in 2015 it streghten its commitment by supporting projects run by the Cocoa Horizons Foundation in Ivory Coast to produce cocoa that is even more attentive to the welfare of cocoa farmers.

  • Bought 100% of the COCOA supporting the projects run by the Cocoa Horizons Foundation, which is committed to improving the living and working conditions of farmers in Ivory Coast.
  • Financed the construction of A WELL to supply clean water to 7,000 inhabitants in Djangobo, Ivory Coast.
  • Financed the construction of A SCHOOL for over 300 children in the village of Dahiri, Ivory Coast.

  • We have become the Barilla Group’s first 100% carbon compensated brand, with zero-net CO2 emissions.
  • OFFSET the remaining CO2 EMISSIONS BY SUPPORTING TWO PROJECTS that promote the protection of biodiversity in Perù and access to solar power in India.

  • Launched the “Moelleux & responsable” project to MANAGE THE SOFT WHEAT SUPPLY CHAIN MORE RESPONSIBLY.
  • Involved and worked with 183 FARMERS in the responsible management of the common wheat supply chain.
