<video:title>An immersive journey into quality and food safety | The Q Side</video:title>
<video:description>🔬 What does it take to stay one step ahead in Quality and Food Safety?

This month at our #BarillaBITE, we brought The Q Side to life: a journey into the unseen side of quality, where science, care, and responsibility come together every day.
A space designed to experience what usually remains behind the scenes, where every detail matters and every choice helps protect what reaches people’s tables, from field to fork.

Today, ensuring food safety means navigating a world that’s more complex and interconnected than ever.
We turn this complexity into trust through prevention, our people, and science: this is what shapes our daily work and how we bring quality to life.

         <video:title>Inside Barilla’s Supplier Quality System</video:title>
<video:description>🔬 How do we protect quality and food safety before production even begins?

Everything starts with raw materials and packaging. That’s why we carefully select, assess, and monitor every single element.

Our Global Supplier Quality Management team ensures that only safe, top‑quality materials enter our plants, overseeing 900 supplier sites worldwide. Through tailored risk assessments, we analyze every detail, monitor suppliers, co-design specifications, and rigorously test materials. And when something goes wrong, we act immediately.

Like an immune system, the work of our #BarillaPeople is often invisible, but absolutely essential to protect consumers and earn their trust.

<video:title>What Keeps Your Food Safe? Inside Barilla’s Quality System</video:title>
<video:description>🥽 Ever wondered what happens inside our plants to keep food safe from the very first second of production?

At the Q Side Event - the immersive showcase on quality and food safety we held at #BarillaBITE in March - visitors entered a dedicated area with four interactive stations, including a virtual reality tour of the Rubbiano Sauces plant. There they saw how we apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), X‑ray detection, thermal treatments and HACCP controls to prevent chemical, physical and biological risks. Like a fortress, each layer adds precise protection, becoming increasingly accurate the closer we get to the product.

Our commitment extends beyond the plant with Good Distribution Practices and over 300,000 annual consumer feedback pieces, all within certified international standards.

<video:title>Inside Barilla Quality: From Tradition to Data</video:title>
<video:description>🔬 How has Quality Control evolved over time?

What once relied only on manual skills and personal experience is now driven by science and data. From hands‑on experience, like pressing a Rigatone between fingers, to advanced tools such as dynamometers, quality control has moved from time‑consuming analyses to instant results, making even sensory elements like roughness measurable and objective.

This evolution spans across all products: today, advanced systems can even verify the position of every star on our Pan di Stelle biscuits, ensuring consistency at every scale.

Quality is now a structured, science‑based discipline, continuously evolving to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex world.

<video:description>☀️ Three stories, one shared direction.

Our Vice Chairman Paolo Barilla shares how sun, wheat, and our industrial processes come together to tell our #sustainability journey, each revealing a different #story.

From #BarillaBITE, where we imagine the food of tomorrow, to our work with wheat growers to advance regenerative agriculture, to the energy investments driving more efficient and renewable production systems, each story reflects a different way we are building for generations to come.

Because the future of the planet depends on the choices we make today, and on our ability to care, innovate, and turn knowledge into responsibility.

To its people who, once again, resist.
#italiacheresiste

--

A questo silenzio che protegge le nostre strade
e alla vita che grida dai balconi.
A chi è fermo, ma si muove
e a chi dà tutto senza chiedere nulla.
GRAZIE

<video:title>The extraordinary adventure of Pietro Barilla: from bread to pasta</video:title>
<video:description>At the beginning of the 1950s, Barilla was a company that boasted 75 years of history to its name. Thanks to hard work and dedication, the family was able to transform the small bakery, opened in 1877, into a modern factory equipped with state-of-the-art machinery where they produced both bread and pasta. In 1952, Pietro decided to leave behind bread production in order to concentrate all of their efforts on pasta production.</video:description>

         <video:title>Barilla Carebonara | The Origins of Carbonara | A Short Film</video:title>
<video:description>Carbonara is the most famous pasta recipe in the world. But how did it all start?

Rome, 1944. An Italian cook meets a young American soldier with a mission: to set up a special meal for the Allied forces stationed in the city. Discover the legend behind the origins of carbonara, a dish prepared for the first time to take care of someone that’s still continuing today to bring everyone together. On April 6th for #CarbonaraDay prepare a carbonara for whoever you care.

Inspired by this story of caring, Barilla, who has always believed in the power of pasta to unite everyone, turned #Carbonara into #CareBonara, the ideal recipe to take care of people.

And to make a real gesture of care, Barilla will be next to Food For Soul - the nonprofit founded by chef Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore - supporting their mission and sustainability initiatives around the world, with a donation of 1 million pasta dishes throughout 2021, nourishing socially vulnerable individuals through the organization’s operational partners in Refettorio projects in Europe, the Americas and Asia.</video:description>

         <video:title>#CarbonaraDay - Classic Carbonara</video:title>
         <video:description>Ingredients for 2 servings:

- 160 g Spaghetti n°5
- 80 g Guanciale (or bacon)
- 2 Egg yolks
- 60 g Pecorino romano cheese
- Salt and black Pepper to taste

Preparation:

Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted water.
Meanwhile, cut the bacon into strips and put it in a large pan. Gently brown the bacon without adding oil.
In the meantime, beat the egg yolks with the Pecorino cheese and two spoons of boiling water. Add freshly ground black pepper.
When the pasta is cooked al dente, drain it and put it into the pan with the bacon: remove the pan from the heat and then add the beaten egg yolks. Finally, add a tablespoon of cooking water for a creamy result.
Stir for a minute and serve the spaghetti with carbonara sauce: sprinkle with the Pecorino cheese and black pepper.
Serve hot.

Chef’s tip:
The perfect Carbonara is creamy, without lumps from too-coagulated eggs or too raw or too liquid egg yolks.
To better control the coagulation and temperature, pour the yolk mixture after removing the pan from the fire.</video:description>
