Keita Yuge of Japan becomes Barilla’s 2019 Master of Pasta at the Parisian Pasta World Championship!
After 2 days of intense competition, chef Keita Yuge, Japan representative, wins the 2019 Barilla Master of Pasta title thanks to his reinvented signature dish: “Penne Gorgonzola Profumo Giapponese”. A dish which is the best embodiment of the theme of this eighth edition: The Art of Pasta. He is the second Japanese chef to win after Yoshi Yamada, who was awarded in 2012 in the Pasta World Championship first edition.

The Parma-based group, a very active sports sponsor, will support the FIP (Italian Basketball Federation), sponsoring the blue jerseys worn by the Italian national team at the 2019 World Cup in China. Chef Marcello Zaccaria of Academia Barilla will travel with the team, feeding them pasta, the perfect food for sportsmen - and not only.

For its 8th edition, the Barilla Pasta World Championship is settling outside of its home, Italy. In line with the theme “The Art of Pasta” and Barilla France 50th anniversary, the competition will take place in Paris, France, renown city for its gastronomy culture and the richness of its Art, on October 10-11th.
