In 2003, as soon as I graduated in Food Science and Technology, I began my adventure by joining the Barilla Group as a Quality Specialist in what was then the Quality Assurance Department.
In 2010, I had the opportunity to move to the Purchasing Department as Vendor Assurance Manager, where I had the opportunity to build on what I had learned in previous years and apply it to some of the most interesting and significant supply chains for our products.
Fascinated by the world of operations and suppliers, in 2015 I wanted to embark on the great production plant adventure: first as Quality & Technology Manager, then as Production Manager and finally, from 2020, as Plant Director.
As Plant Director I have oversight of different subjects and areas: product quality, process efficiency, investments in new plants, maintenance of existing ones, and - obviously - the safety and management of the people who work here.
People management is a fundamental aspect because the plant is like abig family, where the product is everyone's goal. It is the passion and commitment of those who work here every day that make the difference: and an important part of my job is precisely to make sure that the team spirit is cohesive and directed towards the common goal.
I arrive at the factory every morning thinking what a privilege it is to be able to do my job and see the “magic" of making our products together repeat itself.
It is a massive and beautiful challenge, which I experience every day with fascination and enthusiasm!
