I can't talk about Barilla without getting emotional, because these have definitely been the best years of my professional life.
My first big surprise when I came to Barilla was the fact that, despite having the theoretical knowledge for all the skills the job required, I had little practical experience: and I was honest about it.
And Barilla agreed to make this ‘bargain’ with me, saying “come and join us! We’ll help you with whatever you need, and you’ll deliver to us the excellence you already have.”
That’s how I arrived at Barilla. And the first major point was that Barilla believed it was possible.
I’ve now been at Barilla for almost seven years. In that time, I know it's been quite a while, but I always end up looking back and saying: “it's already been seven years!”. I wake up every day happy to come to work, because it's a company where I learn more and more on a daily basis and in a constructive environment.
I can therefore safely say how transformative the experience of working at Barilla has been for my life: and how important Barilla has been for me, especially in terms of working peacefully, supporting my home, helping my family, taking care of what’s important to me, and waking up happy. For me, it isn’t just my job, it’s a place where I exist. And Barilla is one of the places where I exist in society.
In my opinion, what’s really amazing about the Barilla Brazil universe is that it’s a big brand, but it still has a family DNA. It might be a big brand, but its structure gives you access to a great deal of information and helps you to develop a wide range of skills, with no hierarchical barriers preventing you from receiving and sharing knowledge. All that makes Barilla a very fertile environment for those who want to develop their skills at work: you won’t ever only develop the skills you need for your duties. This is made possible by a structure that means we can quickly exchange information, share knowledge and learn, working as a team.
There's no way to leave Barilla the same professional as you were when you joined. It's impossible! Barilla takes you on a journey of learning and advancement in knowledge of business, marketing and relationships. And I think that's really fantastic.
