As an Italian, I grew up gazing at packs of Mulino Bianco while having my breakfast, still half-asleep, before heading off to school. I’d then come home in the afternoon to a generous, delicious plate of Spaghetti no. 5!
I believe many of my colleagues in Research, Development and Quality share similar memories, as I’m sure we all take pride in being part of one team, creating and bringing to life wholesome products which are part of people’s daily lives.
With a background as a food technologist, I have a deep passion for the "art and science" behind every detail of the food and beverage industry.
After earning my degree in Quality and Food Safety, I started working for a very small pasta company in Northern Italy and then moved to a slightly larger Italian company operating in the fresh vegetables market.
I joined Barilla in 2011, initially becoming part of the fruit beverages team. After that, I fulfilled a long-held dream by transitioning to bakery as a product developer, working on some of the very products I had always enjoyed as a consumer.
Later I had the incredible opportunity to move to France, where I took on the role of R&D and Industrialization lead. In this dynamic yet still locally-focused environment, I stepped outside my comfort zone, collaborating closely with dedicated colleagues and gaining invaluable insights into the business from every angle.
After three years across the Alps, I returned to Italy to broaden my expertise in quality and food safety. There I had the honor of creating and leading an exceptional team of professionals – the Global Suppliers Quality Management – focused on ensuring that our suppliers deliver only goods that meet our rigorous quality and safety standards.
Since September 2023, I’ve been responsible for Global Packaging. I’m proud to work alongside a diverse team of experienced professionals and emerging talents who, with immense passion and expertise, design the packaging that we all cherish.
Reflecting on my journey at Barilla, one constant has been the privilege of working with exceptional leaders and colleagues who have continuously challenged me to grow, and through it all, my only limit has been my own curiosity!
