Engaged in all the categories that underpin the Mediterranean dietary model, Barilla provides products for daily use, paying constant attention to ensuring a balanced diet

Since 2009 Barilla has been applying a series of guidelines in developing new products and reformulating existing ones; for example, maximum values for fat, salt, sugar and caloric content.

The criteria used to define the maximum values for nutrients have taken into account both the individual food nutritional content and the impact of the various foods on the diet. These guidelines were defined in collaboration with the Health and Wellbeing Advisory Board.
